GDP measures the total value of goods and services produced in a country. The Conference Board publishes indicators that help evaluate the U.S. economy, including the Consumer Confidence Index which reviews perceptions about sales and interest rates. Other indicators measure consumer expectations about the current economic environment and perceptions of available jobs.
